A Concert for Young Soloists and Small Ensembles - 29 June 2013
Peter Halliday is organising a solo and small ensembles platform concert in aid of the charity 'Dreamflight'. A series of three concerts will take place through the afternoon and evening of Saturday 29 June 2013 at St Andrew's Church, Bedford.
Dear Parent/Carer,
I am organising a series of three concerts to take place through the afternoon and evening of Saturday 29th June 2013. The idea being that as there are quite a few chances for young players to perform in various groups and ensembles these concerts would be for soloists and very small chamber groups.
As well as giving players of all levels the chance to take the spot light I will be using this occasion to raise money for the charity "Dream Flight" by charging each musician £5 to take part. There will then be a retiring collection and raffle done at the end of each of the concerts and all proceeds will go to that charity.
I have had agreement from the St Andrews Church in Bedford to allow me to run the 3 concerts free of charge. They would all take place on the same afternoon with the first one starting at 2pm going on till 3.30pm. The second starting at 4.30pm until 6pm and the last one would be slightly longer from 7pm through till about 9pm.
