County Fourth Orchestra

The Fourth Orchestra is for string players only and caters for young musicians of Grade 3 - 5 standard. Entrance is by promotion from the County Junior Strings or by teacher recommendation. The orchestra is conducted by Julian Pentz, a tutor at the Milton Keynes Music Centre.

Music courses take place in the main school holidays when four days of rehearsal culminate in a final concert for family and friends. Students are presented with challenging music in a wide range of styles that demand a variety of string techniques.

Fourth Orchestra aims to balance hard work and standards of excellence with a good sense of fun and enjoyment in music making.
