Fiddle Fiestas 2006

Fiddle Fiestas have taken place at various schools, with pictures from a number of the events are shown below.

Redbourne

On Friday 14th July 2006, about 85 young musicians gathered for Fiddle Fiesta at Redborne Upper School, from all of the schools within the Redborne pyramid.

Sandy

On Tuesday 27th June 2006, about 65 young musicians gathered for Fiddle Fiesta at Sandy Upper School, from all of the schools within the Sandy pyramid.

Stratton

On Monday 17th July 2006, about 80 young musicians gathered for Fiddle Fiesta at Stratton Upper School in Biggleswade, from all of the schools within the Stratton pyramid.

Music

Six pieces of music have been played, at each Fiesta, and are all arrangements by members of the Bedfordshire Music strings team and include:

'Pizzicato polka' by Johann and Josef Straus, arranged by Jan Kaznowski
'Wallace and Grommit' by Julian Knott, arranged by Jan Kaznowski
'Contretanz' by Mozart, arranged by Jane Wheeler
'The Chronicles of Narnia' by Harry Gregson-Williams, arranged by Jane Wheeler
'Jerusalem' by Sir Hubert Parry, arranged by Nick Edwards
